Beautiful as usual - Great Dixter is open and looking fantastic! Despite the wet, the garden was full of colour and interest. A great time to visit with everything in bud. The cafe has had a serious makeover too, with delicious cakes and scones. Interesting savoury lunch too. It all looked (and tasted) very home made and delicious.

Great Dixter Garden. A Tudor house with a rightly famous twentieth century Arts and Crafts garden. Great Dixter was bought in 1910 by Nathaniel Lloyd, author of books on brickwork and topiary, and was restored by Edwin Lutyens. Nathaniel designed the framework of the garden and it was planted with great flair by his son, Christopher Lloyd.
